why? because I like getting great deals, the way I see it, the better deal I get the more stuff I can get :)

why is it great? If you have time to spend to search and time to wait to buy, you are guaranteed a better deal. Also with the infrastructure of UPS and paypal in place, paying and shipping has never been easier.

BMW technology

For those that have known me for years, you know that I cannot stick with one car very long. In the last 14 years, I've had over 27 cars. Right now I have a 08 328I. I have to say, I am quite impressed with the technologies. Some of the best features include: turning headlights, this is not new, I think the Edsel had it but it is implemented quite well. In the 3, even at stop, the headlights will move with the steering wheel. With my RX350, it doesn't turn when the car is stopped.

Another feature that I really like is the auto brake drying. You really take this for granted after some time, but when you press the brake, it is there :). Unlike my 04 STI, after driving in deep rain on I90 at highway speeds, the first application of brakes always freaked me out, the big brembos really need to dry before they work...

Teaching my son how to read

Teaching my 5.5 yo son to read has been fun. Mom got him the "bob" books and once he started reading, he was able to get through the set of 12 quite quickly. Today, I decided to show my son how to use his Ideapad S10 (using notepad) to type out his bob books. He loves it!!!

Matlab rules!

Just finished my EE 586 homework from the UW. Matlab is actually quite easy to use and powerful. Don't get the use it in my daily job but never the less a great skill to have.
